Sod install

Our team is specialized in sod installations.
Testing the acidity of the soil, and evaluating all the nutrients that are needed for the sod to grow properly, is very important; that's why we do a soil test before laying the sod. We prepare the ground by tilling it, or using a sod cutter to remove old grass and existing weeds. Then, we add a layer of top soil with organic compost in order for the sod to take easily. An application of starter fertilizer is necessary to ensure deep rooting. We offer a large variety of grasses, such as Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Kentucky Blue Grass, Zoysia Grass, Carpet Grass and more.  Last year, we installed over 85.000 sf, and we created healthy green lawns for our customers.

Mowing

Mowing is critical for a healthy grass. Mowing too low or too high can stress the lawn, and create brown patches and diseases.  We sharpen our blades daily to give a clean cut to your lawn. P&P Landscaping knows each clients' property end to end, and we ensure your yard will look great!

core aeration and seeding

Fall is the best season to aerate and seed your lawn.
Why Aerate your lawn?
Aeration's role is to perforate the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction. After aerating your lawn, it is suggested to spread some seed along with starter fertilizer, in order to replace patches or make your lawn thicker.

Fertilizers and weed control

Got Weeds???
No Problem! Let us handle it!
Everyone desires a nice dark green weed-free lawn.  When it comes to lawn care, there is more to it than watering and mowing. We offer a large variety of chemical and organic fertilizers. We have a 10 step lawn care schedule, and we cover  Crabgrass, broadleaf weeds, insect control and diseases. We try to avoid Spraying your grass with weed killers, but if it is necessary, we spot spray it.
We can also create your own schedule, based on what your grass needs. To ensure that, we always perform a soil test to determine what to use on your yard.

Planting

Flowers, shrubs and trees are a great way to highlight your garden. Annual flowers is a great way to fill in the gaps between your perennials and shrubs.
We use organic fertilizers and top soil with compost to ensure proper growth.
We also take a sample of the existing soil to check the acidity, and determine if it's  fertile to plant specific flowers.
Let us do all the work, while you enjoy the beauty of the flowers!
